Has anyone heard of, seen or installed an aftermarket C5 exhaust bypass system (similar to the C6)?
Is there such a thing available?

Sure. Do a search on exhaust cut outs. Also, I think Corvette Re-Cyclers has them for around $100.

B&B Fusion is what you're looking for. It was just released for the C5 a few weeks ago.
