Default Just saying hi !!!!

Hello all, I just purchased my first C5 yesterday and found this site. So I am saying hi.

My new garage toy is a 2000 Millinium Yellow rag top with the torch red interior. It has the Z51 package and the Delco/Mongoose 400 SS upgrade.

I have heard this color combination for that year is not very common, I was actually told there were only something like 15 in this combination with a rag top made that year. But I have not been able to verify that. Does anyone know how I could go about that?

Looking forward to talking on here.

I just became a member about 2 years ago. Its the greatest forum ever for corvettes. I have fixed many things on my car that could have costed a lot of money through the dealer. I've also sold things. Mostly everyones friendly and willing to help with any question you may have. Congrats on your purchase, sounds like a awesome car!!!

Post some pics!!

Welcome and congrats on your new ride. Great color choice if I do say so myself. I don't know about the rarity of your interior color but this link has some info on that sort of thing. LINK

You will find this forum is a great source of information and help so don't hesitate to ask questions. And get those pics up ASAP.

Welcome to the forum.

I don't think there is a readily available source for comparisons of number of cars available with specific color combo's yet (but I heard that there is someone working on it). For example, you can easily find out the number of yellow Verts for that year and the number of verts that had red intior, but nothing to identify the number of yellow verts with red interior.

Hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of the your Vette and from this site. Be careful though, once you start listing to folks around here about making modifications to your Vette, it can get expensive in a hurry.

And welcome to the forum.
I'd think Yellow with Red interior would be pretty unusual. I've never heard of the Delco/Mongoose upgrade in the Corvette but I had one in the '98 T/A we had.

I just read an online article that said there were 30 yellow corvettes made in 2000 with TR interiors. 15 were hardtops and 15 were ragtops. Again, I don't know how acurate this is either. I am going to have to spend some more time researching this, it has my curriosity up now.

I also have a pearl Yellow Goldwing in the garage next to it, you almost have to wear sunglasses to walk through the garage.

man I have waited alot of years for this.

Oh yea, and the underside of the hood is autographed by all of the Corvette race team, as well as the owners manual from either 2000 or 2001. I am still researching that also. This was a two owner car, the first owners bought it and did alot of showing from my understanding, the second owners were two women that hardly ever drove it.
