Congrats on the new ride. As for the crisis, I've yet to here that one. However many people think because of my age, that dad bought it for me or that my parents cosigned for it LOL. So no matter what age you are, with these cars there will be annoying questions. I find the best response is to just laugh at them and give it some throttle
touch your ear and tell them the battery in your miracle ear is dead and ask them to speak up. if they do, tell them again. eventually they'll get the message..... maybe
Midlife crisis??? Its better than what i hear!!! I bought my 98 when i was 30. I've wanted a corvette since I was 10. My wife just smiles and jokingly tells all our friends that im just making up for what im lacking in other places!!!
A "mid life crisis" is what you make of it. I could be a fear of getting old, OR it could be a new beginning. I am in the same boat in that I put a lot of things on hold to do the family thing, which incidently, I loved. Look at it this way, you have the best of both worlds and if people can't appreciate it, then to heck with them. The young wippersnappers will be here someday and the grumpy old farts just don't want to think about what they are missing.
Just remember, every day is the first day to the rest of your life!

Just tell them yes and you love every minute of it. Or you can just say no, I've always wanted a true legend when it comes to a car and this one, built right here in America, fills the bill just fine.
Congrats dreams do come true ,as for the Midlife crisis comments ,just say are you talking about my vette ,you should see my 22 year old girl friend NOW THAT'S A RIDE and walk away Enjoy yourself you earned it
I would just laugh and say see yea later gotta run, and get in my VETTE and drive off with a huge smile. Even tho Im only 30 I still get take your dads Vette home. I just smile and wave, knowing Ive worked hard for my Vette and Im proud of it
My response to the mid-life crisis question is to simply smile and walk away. It's a stupid question, generally asked with malice intended....and it isn't worth dignifying the question with any reply.
There are many of us with similar stories - who had to wait until the planets, the sun and the stars were in perfect alignment to afford/justify something like a Corvette. I wish you miles and miles of smiles with your car.
Exactly what i did! Smile and walk away! Besides the positive comments will always outweigh the negative ones.
