I had my car aligned a few weeks ago. Now, if I'm sitting still and turn the wheels or if I'm rolling slow with wheels turned and hit a bump, something pops in the front end. Any guesses as to what this might be? I had him zero out the toe, basically looking for good tire wear.

Same happened to me.... Alignment shop did not torque everything down. I found a bolt loose on the lower A Arm. Check to make sure everything is torqued down to spec before you go cruising again...
I have a popping noise when i go in reverse from the front i think. Also sometimes from the rear. My car is slammed though. So no front bolts and the rears are 8" long compaired to 6". You think that could be a problem?

Please tell me you did not go to the GoodYear shop in Wylie....
They screwd up my alignment 2x times on my Z06. They were just using hand held wrenches, and not a torque wrench. Within 1500 miles both times I found that the lower A arm bolts had come loose (yes, turn with my finger)
I went to the Porsche "RUFF" dealer in Plano and they did it right a month ago. They also found my rear suspension loose big time too. Porsche torqued everything to 110ft lbs. They do all the work for 21st Century Musclecars. Quality job I found ! He marked all of the bolts for me keep an eye on to see if anything loosens over time.
I guess it pays to get it right the first time. I know that now if I ever need an alignment.

It could be coincidental that this is happening after an alignment ,but the popping sound is familiar to me .After I changed my sways I didn't get one link tight enough and I got the pop thing goin on .Very easy to check and you can then eliminate that as the source .Good luck ..

Could you describe the pop sound you heard in your situation ? Only happens when turning hard ?
I would hear it when entering my drive way . Slight turn and small dip , and it would do it predictably every time drivers corner was in compression and wheel was turned slightly. I had replaced my sways with Hotchkis and installed adjustable end links ,just didn't get the drivers side link tight . The sound was a very distinct click like if you were to hit two 1/2X 12 inch socket extensions together.

A 110 ft/lbs still isn't enough...the spec is 125 ft/lbs and it really is what's needed to keep it from moving.
