On 4-21-2009, I posted a little write-up on the APSIS Splash Guards and I was asked to post some more pictures. Well, the weather has been bad in Michigan, rainy, cloudy, and **itty, and I finally have the pictures for those that asked.
I like the flaired look of them and the fact that they don't hang lower then my car(I scrape my driveway and other places too). I bought and brought home a full set from the Atlantic city show recently and I took my car to my mechanic/body shop who I only trust to work on my cars. After spending one and a half hours on the lift, removing the wheels and the present splashguards, I decided not to put them on. He wasn't comfortable cutting on them and trying to fit the front ones with my sideskirts(ACI ground effects). Also the right rear fit terrible and would have to be swapped for a new one. I really wound up wasting alot of money;mechanic only charged me one half hour($42.50) and it cost me $24 to ship them back but the company charged me $80 for restocking(what a bunch of crap), so a total of $146.50 just thrown out the window. I only think they look good painted and mag red paint is expensive and I think these things would have cost me at least $700 painted and installed, which is ridiculous to pay for splashguards. sorry to rant but I was looking forward to getting them on and I just couldn't trust someone I didn't know.
I received a early set of rears and returned them due to the poor surface quality. I expected that I could bolt them right up, however, I would have needed to sand and fill them, then repaint to get the finish to a point I would have been happy with.
