Gauge problem

Default Gauge problem

Have a 1997 Corvette.Oil,heat ,and gas gauge quit working amp gauge was working.Also radio and power windows would not work.Abs and traction light also on.On the codes it said no communication.I took battery cable of and when I put it back on everything works.Any ideas what the problem is?

Sounds like a grounding gremlin. Check the ground below the battery. They're notorious for having corrosion. Many gremlins on the C5 are solved with correcting bad grounds.

The no comms type codes are pointing at the electrics.

. It could be the grounds or just a loose battery cable.

See how you go and then work through the grounds if the problem reappears

Thanks for info.Took the car for a ride Sunday seemed to work fine after I removed battery cable and put it back on.
