I like the Charger SRT-8, but IMO you will really enjoy the C5. Better fuel efficiency plus a true sports car - quite a combination.

Here is an unbiased opinion. Have a friend who has driven a Magnum SRT-8 (close to Charger) and my '99 coupe. He did like the Magnum but much prefers my Corvette. The 800 extra pounds of the Charger/Magnum seems to gobble up the 75 hp advantage of the big Hemi. My friend said the performance, handling - the overall driving experience of the Corvette - was much better then the Magnum. Other then hauling around four people, I'm sure you won't regret swapping the Charger for a 'vette.

The vette is more of a sports car BUT the only thing I havent seen mentioned is that the price seems a bit high?? Not a terrible price but I've seen better. I got my 03 Z06 in MINT shape for 23,000 with only a few more miles on it. So I think you can find a better deal but if it's the one you like then you wont be dissapointed

Ten seconds in the Vette vert and you will never look back at the Charger. Charger's are nice, don't get me wrong, but they are nice in a very ordinary way. A C5 Vette is an extraordinary sports car.

ALot of people forget about the HP to weight ratio...the newer Hemi's might boast bigger numbers these days..but also look at how much some of the newer cars weigh
I think the chargers look cool, but would still choose a C5 any day of the week over them.
The LSX motors can be modded and have great unlocked potential

Good luck and welcome to the forum. You'll also find this forum and its members are very helpful.

If you don't need the rear seat, go for it.
Take the Vette on a canyon run and you'll wonder why you ever liked the Charger.

Mmmm. Faster model say you? More get up and go? I'm betting that stock 'vette will be gone before the charger can get up. The vette is sure more fun to drive!

I think the Vette will win here. Now, go ask the same thing on the Charger forum.

Oh, there's not. Nevermind. Just buy the Vette and post some photos ASAP.
Yes there is a Charger forum. Lol. Ask i dare you.

Fixed it. No point spending money on stuff that will only make it a little faster.

Plenty of options for that price with those miles. Make sure you find the right model. Check the options. You will want the 3.15 rear and the Z51 suspension.
