Default bilstein question

I just bought a set of bilstein sport shocks from a fellow forum member and have a few install questions.

1. The bushings that came with the shocks do not seem to fit the holes so I am planning on using the old ones or should I get new stock bushings?

2.I tested the top nut and it does not seem to go on the bils as it should compared to the stock. I don't want to ruin the threads so I wanted to ask if anyone knows if I should have a different nut other than stock.

3. The bils seem to compress easier than the stock z51's should this be the case? I only have one shock on without tightening everything up just yet so it isn't to late to change things around.

thanks for your help.

I just installed the sports and I re-used the old bushings as the ones supplied looked odd and I didn't feel like figuring it out. I also used the supplied nut as the stock ones will mess up the threads. I have no idea what the Z51 spring rate is, but the sports do compress kinda easy, but I haven't noticed any issues when I am driving around.

Thank you very much for the info! That is exactly what I needed.

So your bilsteins did come with nuts? Then I am not crazy!

I just installed the Bilsein HD's. Used all the new hardware and bushings. Seemed ok to me and they've been fine so far. Thought about using the old bushings as they seemed more substantial but didn't as they were 10 years old.

Thanks guys for the input.

As I mentioned, I bought the shocks from a fellow forum member and they didn't come with the needed nuts. I tried the stock nuts, but the treads were not right. I just found the exact nuts at Lowes, and will finish the install tonight.

thanks again.
