I get this now and then on my '99, anyone have suggestions?

If you don't get the "service column lock" message along with it, then it could just be a dirty resistor in the key. Clean the resistor with rubbing alcohol and see if it clears up.

Yes indeed,,,this COULD just be a prelude to getting stranded one day soon! It did this on and off in a very random scattered pattern ,,,and one day BAM,,left me stranded with the fuel cutoff!!

I had the same message the other day, did what it said and it never came back. From reading other post it seems to not be a problem but if some one really knows the reason behind this it would be nice to know.
