I never thought about that, Did you have to take it in for service? and what is the level it should be? I have heard there is two different amounts.

No I would put the freon in myself. I finally had a shop fix the leak though.

I thought somewhere on the forum guys said that this pertained to one of the vent doors sticking or not opening all the way. If you got cold A/C air out of one side, to me it has to be something to do with the vent doors leading up to the driver side outlet vent. Just a thought

See thats what I would think. If the freon was low why would I get nice cold air from the passenger side? But what do I know..

Does anyone know where the Vent door is located, that would separate the hot and cold on the drivers side?

Having the same problem. Where should I hook up a gauge to check the refrigerant pressure?

The vent door has something to do with the fuses, but freon charging always cured mine. You might try the search function.

It might not be the freeon after all, My problem was the Accuator deep in the dash, I replaced it myself. A/C works like a charm now, left me know if I can help you?

Hi There:
The motor that FLASHGLS was talking about is gm p/n 89018365.It is called gm a/c actuator door flap motor. cost $ 263.47 at our local dealer. The question is: Is the door just stuck? or is the fuse blown? or a bad motor?

Your actuators need to be re-indexed.
Disconnect the battery over night and reconnect it in the AM, it should solve the problem.
Has worked three times for me, stereo install, dead battery and engine install. Hot drivers side, cold passenger. Next AM, ice cold both sides.
Its free and easy, try it first.
