Sorry this happened to your car. It would have been nice if you could have caught the idiot in the act. Hope the body shop can make it look like new again.

Polishing compound has worked for me before, although I'm not sure if I'd use it on my vette. Also depends on the velocity of the eggs as I have seen them chip paint.

Most of it came out with a buffer!! There is a tiny spot on the roof that may need to be wet sanded but i will deal with that next week.

That sucks. Amazing how just an egg can cause so much damage to a vehicle.

Got my Bonneville egged. Used clay bar and it all came out. Lucky it was on the rear quarter and not on top so it did not get much chance to bake in. Then Zaino

There's an enzyme in the yolk that can eat the paint. The Vettes I spoke about had to have extensive paintwork afterward.

I'm betting that with the proper product (polish) and a buffer, that it can be repaired. Let us know how it turns out.

I'm using this phrase way too much...

People suck.

Good luck with the repair.

i know your pain. Mine was hit 2 years ago on the hood just to the left of the headlight door. Body shop said that the shell chipped the clear ( looks like a comet running up my hood) and they may be able to wet sand and polish ( 100.00 ) but if they go through more clear it would mean refinishing the whole hood (650.00)
