Sorry, I guess I wasn't clear.....Yes, I got your hyperflash 60 LED's. I also got your HID fog lights with all the wiring that came with it. All plug and play, and all work great.
I have had their original switchbacks for a couple of years. They worked without any trouble. So....I got a pair of Autolumination's 60 switchbacks. The 60 Switchbacks are much brighter than the originals. The Amber/White model. They fryed my fuses. They would strobe white, then flash amber. That is until the fuses went. I emailed them and they said they are having trouble with their 60 LED's on Corvettes. They are trading them out for the Amber/Off switchbacks. They label them (A/W) amber/white or (A/O) amber off. I will post up results when I get the A/O's.
UPDATE: I received the 60 LED (A/O) switchbacks. Installed them and went for a short drive. Still had the strobe white then flash amber issue before I took off. After a few city miles, the parking light fuse blew. With the other bulbs the park light fuse and the approach fuse both blew. Bottom line is the 60 LED's are not yet working for us.
Jhonathan: Do you sell 60 or 48 switchbacks? Your bulbs look different than the 60's Autolumination has been sending me.

I was just about to pull the trigger and get a set of 60s when all this came up. Now I'm torn.
I don't want to be blowing fuses or burning up wiring. I can't understand the fuse issue as these bulbs draw so little amperage. Are they literally shorting out on their circuit boards? Where is the reported heat coming from? LEDs are supposed to be very cool compared to conventional bulbs.
Who sells a reliable 48-bulb switchback LED? Or should we recondsider an all amber, all the time LED for the DRLs to avoid the problems?
Any and all thoughts appreciated.
Glen
No need to be overly concerned. I have been running autoluminations original switchbacks for over two years with no trouble. It is just their new 60's that are an issue. Jhonathan has been having NO TROUBLE with his 60's. I will go his if I can't get my issues fixed.
When the switchbacks work properly they are very cool. I was wanting to update for more brightness the newer bulbs offer.
Don't sweat burning a fuse or two. They save the wiring and only cost a few cents to replace. Not a big deal at all.

Just get the 60 version I offer. It's not too bright and you have more LEDS with the support of a forum vendor. Plus they work as promised.
Just 20mins ago I installed one of autoilluminations 60's when I came inside to search for a solution for the hyperflash. Well I found out the info on the hyperflash harness available ($70 bucks, ouch)
But then I came across this thread and am glad I did. I'm not sure what to do now, to take my chances wit the 60's from autoillumination or exchange them for the 48s...
"The problem is not with the bulbs, it is with the wiring in the Corvettes. I think they are being lit on in amber mode and that is overheating everything."
Do you guys think there is any chance I wouldn't experience the same issues or should I play it safe an exchange them for the 48s
Anyone out there that is using the 60/60 smt tower from autolumination problem free that can comment?
I can comment that out of the two smt 60s that I got, the amber went out of one after a week and the other quit working completely and stunk up the whole garage after 1 day. They replaced the burned up one and I didn't even bother doing anything about the other, I just took them out in defeat.
