It's been having overheating issues, I was going to diagnose them today, but when i went to start the car today, the ignition turns over but just clicks..
The alternator had white powder all around it after our long cold winter...I took out the car only 1 time since the spring had begun and that was 2 weeks a go(and thats when the overheating began) and has been sitting since.
Any ideas for a solution on the no start and the overheating issue?

got it runnig it was the batt, i just charged it up. Just replaced the tstat, but when i add cooloant into the resovoir it doesnt seem to be going anywhere? I know I have to add a lot more
I notice now when i start it up the 2 small hoses leading to the water pump are getting hot, but the big hose leading from the tstat to the rad top are cold....What does this mean? Water pump is toast?
yea, just tried it again and now all tubes are getting hot. The a/c and heat are working normally. I hear the fans come on around the 230 range, or maybe its just 1 fan, can't really tell? But the temp gauge is still climbing up over the 240-260 range.
