A while back I bought a hydragraphic carbon fiber radio bezel and console from a forum vendor (I'm not going to name the vendor). Before long the pieces started to dimple. The pieces were actually beyond the warranty period by the time I notified the vendor (my fault, busy with work, then winter storage, etc.) I sent pictures and the vendor said they would contact the manufacturer and straighten out the problem. Weeks would go by, I'd e-mail the vendor, the vendor would tell me that I'm going to get new pieces, weeks would go by I'd e-mail the vendor, etc. Finally I asked the vendor for the manufacturer's name, phone and contact which I was given.
They are Starcraft Distribution and they were VERY helpful. They told me to send them the pieces. I asked them if it was a cronic problem to which I was told that it was not. They explained that it is something done by humans and perhaps the pieces weren't prepped properly but that they'd take care of the problem.
Well, below you see the new pieces. They stood behind their product! They took care of a customer! What more is there to say....except for how good it looks!?
How do those compare to other hydrographic products?
umm...I don't know. I'm the only one I know that has it.
I think they've changed their process. Now the grain runs in a different direction....from lower left to upper right.
