wrecked car about 8 weeks ago, now getting ready to repaint whole car. want to use best paint on market anybody know or use glasurit paint. (black) thanks.......
Paint does matter, but what matters more imo is the prepwork and elbow grease that goes into the process. Anyone can spray a bunch of paint on a car with a couple clear coats.

I did a frame off restoration on my 65 back in 1996 and used Glasurit primer and two stage paint. The car still looks like I just finished it. At that time it was the best. Not sure now about it's availablity or if anything has come along that is superior.
The only issue is costs (raw paint and application)
As an owner (previously) of 16+show cars I had all painted with Glasurit. As time passed, some (GTO's, Judges, KR500's) that I sold are now street driven, and I keep in touch with the owners. Paint is still holding well (after 15 years).
Glasurit paint is a polyester basecoat. It's very thin, not thick like most other cheap basecoats. It doesn't cover 400 grit without shrinking into sanding marks. I paint with glasurit everyday and probably over 18,000 using all paint manufactures in my lifetime. It the same as Diamont (which is cheaper) and similar to Lessonal (which is cheaper still) but covers better. I don't suggest anyone using it, unless you have plenty of experience in high quality. It costs about 70.00 retail a pint. So my point is if you don't know what your doing. Just buy some cheap paint and just paint it. Joe
