I have the American Racing 1 7/8 primaries and 3" collectors with their 3" o/r X pipe connected to a 2 1/2 Borla Stinger and I LOVE the sound! I say HELL YES!
Headers are one of the few modifications that improve BOTH power and fuel economy. Other than the initial part and installation cost, there is no downside to them.
I have American Racing headers with hi flow cats, x-pipe and Corsa Touring mufflers. I have absolutely NO regrets and would do it again in a heart beat!!
Do you want a few more HP? If so, go for it; If not, don't bother. Oh, if you ever plan on superchargerging, go ahead and go with a the 1-7/8" headers. I have the American Racing 1-7/8" on my vert. It screams!

I'm with the above. The first mod to every vehicle you own should be headers (all my vehicles get them). Better power & fuel economy. There is no downside other than price.
It looks like all Pro's and no Con's for the headers!
So I should go ahead and get the 1 7/8" ? I have no idea if i'll ever cam or supercharge it.... but I do know i plan on keeping this car for a very long time....
