I have a 1999 vert with LG long tube headers and a Borla Exhaust. I decided before the mods that I wanted LOUD and the above combination gave that. Headers are a great mod for addtional HP. Headers also are great for overall modding. What I mean by this is that if you plan to any work to the motor, headers will always factor in. For example, new intake, heads, cam...headers will be required to get most out of the bolt ons.
If you like the sound now and don't want it louder, leave as is. FWIW, I have a vert w/Corsa Pace & LT's and couldn't be happier.
I'm not really worried about it being any louder at WOT, i just don't want to lose the No-Drone cruising the Corsa's offer, with that said I did call Corsa and discuss and he ensured me that would not be the case that the Headers would only enhance the sound.

Oh i'm going with a upper end brand, as bad as I hate to say it as i dont want to get into a header dispute thead, but i'm in line to get American Racing Headers at Carlisle this year
Thanks for the replies so far and keep them coming!
Get headers, you'll love the sound, and with the Corsa's you should not have any problems with drone. You might also want to get a tune after you add the headers to take advantages of the extra power you can pick up.
Danny, you will be fine with the LT's and your Corsa catbacks. I am running AR longtubes, Corsa Indy Pace cats and a Paxton Novi Supercharger (500 RWHP/484 RWTQ) and I don't have any drone. The LT's will add a much nicer sound to the exhaust and give you a small HP increase. I would advise a tune after install. ECS did all my work.

I do plan on getting a Tune right after the Header install, Chuck Cow, ECS and Vette Dr's are all there tuning during Carlisle!
One of the main reason's i'm doing it at Carlisle, Headers installed by American Racing and Tune in the same tent or next one over.

My black car has a set of rare GHL LT's plus an X-pipe with the Corsa Pace Car system. It sounds deeper and throatier than the Corsa's without headers. It still has all the benefits of the Corsa systems, doesn't drone at all, just a little more baritone.....if that makes any sense.
Are headers worth it? I think so! With the setup I mentioned, plus a Blackwing and a dyno-tune, I netted about 38hp to the wheels. And the car sounds meaner with the headers than it did without.

I have tpis LT's with corsa touring & stock cats -mild cam/heads .. idle sounds great but not loud -- No drone at all - but at WOT it really sounds off.
