I have a 2003 50th. AE coupe and I was wondering what years have the 'body side moulding' My car came without it, and I was wondering why so many folks who've taken it off? Personally I don't care for it.
I have a 99 and don't have them but I wish I did I like them.... To me it adds a racer line to the car. This has come up a number of times on as far as I can see. However a lot of people do take them off.
My 01 has them and i just bought an 04 and it does not have them.I do like them. I think they make the vette alittle sharper but i dont think im going to put them on my 04. I dont know mabey someday. Its pretty nice without them also.
I have them on mine and like them. I personally think they look just as good either way. I think most people take them off because they're bored with their car's look and its a cheap mod. There's not much point in arguing if it looks better or not anymore than arguing one car color looks better than another.

As said they were offered on all years, As far as I go, I like it both ways, with or with out, I took mine off after having the car 2 years and I think my car looks a lot better without.

I like them both ways. I have them on my 2001. The are too low to protect against most car doors, but they at least give some protection if parking next to another Corvette.
What protection? These cars are so low that it will only protect you if you park next to a go-kart with doors.
I totally agree with you! They are mostly for looks. I really didn't like them, so I took my body side "moldings" off. I think the smooth look is much better.
