a friend and i finished doing pads/rotors front and rear. also lowered it all the way on the stock bolts and put on c6 wheels.
opinions?
love?
hate?
its a 6spd z51 1999 with exchaust and intake. plus a hurst shifter
was considering long tubes plus a tune but want to see how it drifts first.
previous owner painted the calipers a terrible orange color while they were ion the car and did a terrible job. i want to repaint them aluminum. and sand down the letters when done. maybe polish just the letters and clear over them and the "aluminum" colored paint that would be the rest of the caliper and bracket.
anyone reccomend a good caliper paint kit that includes clear???
rear needed 1" bolt ons and i had to dremel off like 2mm off the stock studs.
everything went easy and i got a good luck at the front and rear suspension/subframes of the car.
i like this thing.
Your car looks great but I'm biased as I'm from Jersey too and also have
a 99 Mag Red but with C6Z06 Motorsport wheels.
On the calipers, I think you need to consider Mag Red. I tried Black
(blah) and silver aluminum color with shaved letters is just not enough
contrast. I spray painted mine matching Mag Red, shaved the letters and clear coated everything. The hubs are black satin finish paint.
the vette u posted looks so bad
i bet he can help me out with something to get more steering angle and better drum shoes for the ebrake.
the vette is a decent drift car. as good as my old 350z.
needs more angle.
the seats though...... are f'ing TERRIBLE
anyone wanna sell me a pair of nice black c6 seats??
