Default Question / Motive Power Bleeder

I'm looking at purchasing a Motive Power Bleeder. I was wondering if anyone is using the universal mount version? (model #0101) Any feedback would be appreciated.

NO!!!! At least I hope not. That thing does work, but it takes forever to put it on and take it off. Get the GM adapter and you'll be a lot happier.

I use the Motive Power Bleeder and it works beautifully. I don't know what the universal fit model is but I would recommend getting a year and model specfic unit.

That's what came with mine and that was what I used. It did not work on my son's VW and had to buy that one. If you can buy it with the GM one I would. It does work with universal one.

I have both the universal, which I bought before the GM was available, and I have the GM unit as well. The GM cap does not fit tightly enough for my comfort. The universal takes longer to secure but works much better for me. I pump the bleeder up to 20-25 psi and have had the GM cap pop off at that pressure. The GM brake line system is bled at 25-30 psi when the automated bleeding procedure is performed with a Tech II so the pressure I use is safe.

I personally found the power bleeder to be junk and threw it in the trash. Too much BS, I'd rather use the brake pedal.

I use the power bleeder because my arms are not long enough to reach the bleed screws while I am inside the car pushing the brake pedal.

Thanks for all the feedback...with a tacoma and altima also parked in the stable, I was hoping for a one-size fits all approach.
