my belt came off and hit the fiberglass cover that is on the bottom of the hood trying to find a replacment not sure what to call it to try to find it any sugg thanks jon its the black cover that hides the inside of the hood ive seen ones that were painted where the corvette logo is trying to locate

i think you are referring to the hood insulator pad (cover). i would put a "WTB" listing in the parts for sale/wanted section to see if anyone who added a custom one might still have their original and be willing to sell it. if not, i would check with some of the corvette "specialty" salvage yards. it shouldn't be too hard to replace for a decent price.

If it is the hood insulator pad, your local dealer can get a new one for you.

If you don't get one right away, I wouldn't worry about it...there are quite a few on this forum who drive without one and don't have any issues with overheating the paint on the hood...at least that's what I have heard...Indy

Thanks just called i got lucky they only listed 2 the guy told me that there gonna stop carry ing my year i got it for 90.00 bucks it listed for 150.00 thanks again

Finding an insulator pad locally is always better as the shipping costs will usually dwarf the cost of the part. The box they're shipped in will be huge, but weigh very little.

Or, order from a local dealer and it'll come it with their other stocking items...
