The stock system on my 99 coupe must go. 2 flanges have failed and another ready to go. I need some feedback from those with either a Corsa Touring system or the MagnaFlow system.
I've had the car since 99 and plan to keep it. I don't want a LOUD system.
Help me decide if I should save $$ and go with the Magnaflow.

Never had either of those systems, but I did have a B&B catback - the Route 66 to be specific. It was not loud, but sounded much better than the stock system. Fit and finish were excellent.
I just bought my 97 a few weeks ago and was told I have an after market exhaust, after examination it looks like the Magnaflo system. It's not to loud but has a definate nice rumble when I start it up. I don't know if iit's supposed to increase HP or not, can anyone tell me that?
I just switched out my Magnaflows for the GHL system because I wanted a little more sound. I highly recommend the Mags. It's a high quality system that sounds very good to me.
Magnaflows sound like a motorboat. Go with GHL, Corsa, or Borla...in that order. Stock C5 Z06 titanium systems are also a great option for the C5...drop 20 ish lbs, and save some serious coin over an aftermarket set up.
im thinking bout getting GHL Bullets or SLP loudmouth exhaust..would i be able to change the tips on either exhaust? i like the stock oval tips on the vette.

No increase in HP with just a cat-back exauhst. You would need to add long tube headers and a tune to increase HP.
I have an 02 coupe, and I'm going to do headers, air intake, and performance tune this summer, and I wanted a cat back exhaust (already had a Corsa X pipe). Knowing that in advance, I put on a Corsa Touring system instead of a Pace car system last month. Several people advised me against the Pace Car system plus the mods (too loud). If I wasn't planning any other mods, I would have done a Pace Car system. By the way - without the mods, the Touring System sounds great at WOT. I bought it from a Forum member for $800 (only about 15K miles on it).
Go with Borla and learn to love the drone! People are always bad mouthing the drone and I say, if you don't like it, just open a window while your on the highway and you'll forget about the exhaust noise. Hahaha. I have the Borlas and I do like them, however, if choosing what exhaust to put on the car, I would consider GHL's.
Dont forget to consider the Z06 Titanium exhaust. Not even noticeable inside the car but definitely a nice deep rumble standing behind the car at idle.
