For the last couple of weeks, anytime I am riding with the AC on, I get a PC 0492 code in the DIC. I know it's got something to do with the AIR system. I just don't know how to fix it. Anyone have any experience with this?
I did a quick search and it looks like the check valve may be sticking or bad. This post wil help you locate it - the most common suggestion seems to be spray so WD40 or carb cleaner into it to see if you can loosen it up - if not then replace it
I had the same code show up two weeks ago and was directed to the same post. After about a third of a can of carb cleaner and some compressed air, I reset the code on my daily driver and it has yet to return. Trust the forum........it works.

I had a P0491 code last Sunday driving to work. I just turned around and left the car in the garage till today when I had a chance to look into it. I checked all of my work changing the oil and its perfect. Did some searching around and found people saying the check valve is the issue. I just started using my AC on the car recently... Maybe has something to do with the valve sticking? I am going to have to read that other post on how to figure this out how to do it...
I had the same problem. Followed the thread instructions and cleaned the valve and cleared the code. Was okay for a week and then came back twice in the next week. Cleared the code and haven't seen it for six weeks. Still going to change the valve this winter.
Same problem with my cousin's 2000. We replaced the valve and the code was gone for 2 weeks, and it returned. No solution yet, we just keep deleting the code.

Be careful once you get close to inspection time. If you reset the codes and have not driven the car much you will fail inspection.
