[Z06] Rear shocks??

Rear shocks??
I have an 01 Z, and I wanted to replace the shocks, especially the rears. They are the originals, with 35k on them. Im just wondering if there is a newer C5 z06 version that is better than the 01 version? What is a good all around shock to go with that also may help decrease wheel hop? Thanks

04 Z shocks are generally considered one of the better options for replacement. Slightly different valvings from what I know.
Lots of options from there, Bilsteins and koni singles, also the pfadt sport shock has gotten a lot of good reviews here.
I think the Bilstein is the best shock for cost to performance ratio.
Another option is the 06+ z06 shock. I have a set of those on my car and felt it was an improvement over the factory units. But I would put the Bilstein above them in terms of performance.
If you are lowered beyond factory bolts, it is a whole different animal. Check out the autocross/roadrace forums in the general section. Tons and tons of info on shocks there.
