Default lowering stock C5

I can't remember which way you turn the wrench to lower the front of a C5. Is it counterclock wise? I know you need a 10mm wrench.
Thanks

Don't forget to unload the spring first...use a small jack or something similar to put some pressure on it...then you can almost turn the bolt by hand. You have to screw the bolt upward, so that the bushing under the spring sits closer to the spring itself. In the end, there must be more threads showing at the top...Indy

Exactly, because if you do not you could easily break it!

Counter-clockwise. Yes, its a good idea to use a jack below the spring to make turning it easier. Dump a bunch of lube where the spring/bolt meet if it won't turn. You don't want to round the 10mm top off.

Default How much has my C5 been lowered?

It's too hard to measure from the roof.
Can someone give me some figures from the top of stock wheel to the top of wheel well or any other easy dimension check.

Counter-clockwise is right, I could turn mine 5 full revolutions on each side, one would turn slightly more, I kept them at five turns, lowered the front about an inch and a half. It will settle to riding height in about a week or a hundred or so miles, out back you need a longer bolt to put in, a 9/16th's the best route, love mine..bob.
