My windows are already tinted, hatch glass @ 5% and doors @ 50%.
Im going to get my door windows re-tinted going darker for a few reasons.
First being the sun/heat, having a black on black and parking in the sun it gets hot. Then there's always the bad-*** look of dark tint on a dark car
So, It's either 35% or 20%.....Whaddya' think?
(Oh btw, it IS illegal to have the door glass tinted, but dont let that change you're mind)

35% all around here, which is still illegal in VA. I think its 50% on the sides and 35% on the rear.
Ideal for me would be 35% on the sides and 20% on the rear but i figure from the back i better not ask for anymore attention. I rarely drive my Z if its not windows down weather so im not worried about the sides.
Tint really makes the car look better in my opinion. One of the biggest appearance mods. I don't like any darker then 20% though.

Depends on how much hassle you feel you can tolerate since it is illegal where you live. If your LEOs take a strict stance against tinting, then just be prepared to pay the piper should you get stopped.
Valid points for both, Still undecided and probably will be til I get it done.
Im not worried about the illegal factor, Ive had them tinted at 50% for 2+ years now and havent been bothered.
Im gonna have to see some 20 vs 35 pictures to help.
I did 35% on mine so I wouldn't have any troubles with inspections but I have to admit I wish it was a little darker, not as dark as I was hoping. At least I don't have to worry about being hassled or finding an honest kid at the inspection shop.
20% all around hve black interior so it helps also being that I am over 50 put a kid in a ricer next to me with the same tint cop will pull him over first how do I know, had it happen at a light. The one thin is at night it does make it hard to see good
Mine had very dark, probably 50%, on the rear window. It failed it's yearly inspection because of it, a real pain in the a*se as I had to remove it then get back in the line.
Now I go with the new clear heat shield film, keeps most of the heat out and offers clear vision.

I have 15% on the sides and 5% on the rear. Dark tint looks good, but as others have stated, it can make visibility an issue especially at night. I have near perfect night/day vision, checked annually as a term of my employment, and I have to roll down my windows to backup. Wouldbe a huge hassle in the rain, but vettes don't run in the rain anyway !
I have 5 percent in the back, so Im used to pretty dark. I rarely have both windows up when driving anyways so Im leaning towards the 20, even though the poll is a near 2/1 in favour of 35!
I voted for 35%, but I also think my windows are darker than that. My windows were tinted by the previous owner, and they seem darker than the 35% I had on my last car. I have a black on black car, and it gets very hot here in Atlanta. The dark tint really helps with temp and glare. I haven't been hassled by the cops yet (knock on wood).
