Sometimes when I pop my truck it doesn't come up enough to grab it and I have to try and pry my fingers in the crack and get it to come up. I don't have to move it much to get it to release but it's a pain. It feels like it's stuck to the rubber gasket. Has anyone else had this problem ? Is their anything I can put on the rubber to make it less sticky? Thanks all.

If you spray some lube into the trunk latch and make sure the hinges on the trunk are lubed as well it should help. Also, consider a very light coating of dieletric grease on the trunk weather stripping, so that the trunk lid doesn't stick to the rubber as the other have suggested.
Another tip is with the windows up - open and close the driver's door with lid popped - the pressure should cause the lid to pop.
Dang, with the windows closed I just slam the driver's door. Trunk pops up enough to get the fingers in it. Been doing this since I have had the car.
LOL, thanks for the tips. I do in fact do that from time to time, but in the summer I rarely have the windows up or the roof on. Thanks again CF people for your insight.

all the other suggestions above are also valid. the "popper" kit is cheap (and if you look at it on line you can make one yourself with a spring and a furniture leg cap you can get at home depot for about $2.00). the install couldn't be any easier.

Also, look into the latch and you will see a small rod about a 1/2" long. it pushes the lid up when the latch is released. Over time this will be pushed down and not pop the lid as much. Take a pair of needle-nose and pull it up a little bit. Also, the rubber stops at each corner can be screwed out a turn or so and that will help. I have showed a few guys in our club this and it helped all of them with the problem.
Although, i'm not sure if a coupe is the same. Have only done it with verts and FRC..............
Thanks again everyone. As soon as work is over I'm going to go home and work on that project. I love spending time with my car, even if it's doing some sort of work to it, lol. It is a thing of beauty.
Thanks all for your advice. I went home last Thur. nite and oiled up the lift rods and the latches, I also took some vinyl and rubber cleaner and wiped down the gasket and the trunk relase has been working fine ever since. Thanks again.
