I purchases some hid low beam headlights and the inline resistor to so the lights would lower properly. Havent had any problems with the lights lowering properly but usually one side or the other will not fire unless I shut the lights off and on again. They alway fire the second time. Sometimes its the drivers side, sometimes its the passenger side. Any one had this problem before??
Mine did the same for a few weeks and now I can't get the HIDs on the right side of the car at all. I've switched both the bulbs and the ballasts and my right headlight is completely dead.
Mine seems to be so completely random as far as which side works and doesnt. Why would it not work initially then work 2 seconds later?? I dont think its a ballast problem. I'm going to recheck all the connections but they were all solid from the start.
I would suggest a relay harness. Often when running mutliple sets of HIDs a relay harness is required for the best performance. I have had trouble with mine (I have lows and fogs) and TheRadioflyer built me a harness which I am confident will help the problem. You can contact him for more info.
Only problem I have with mine is that they don't go down when I kill the engine. I had to start it again, then turn the lights off, on and then off again.
Just ordered the resistors from Jhonathan to try to fix this issue.

Until you get the resistors just hit the high beams after you turn off the lights, that will let them come down.
Funny, I don't remember you mentioning the fact that I might need this when I purchased both low and high beams from you. I did buy the resistor, but knew nothing about the fact that one light might fail to come on as needed.

Guess I've gotta' order something else.
It's rare that someone even needs the battery relay harness. I don't usually suggest the harness unless someone either asks about it or if you experience a flicker problem.
I've never heard of anyone needing the harness because of a headlight failing to come on. I'm not even sure that's the fix. A member suggested that and I just noted I've always had battery relay harnesses.
