Default Rocking Seats

Ok so how many of you C5 owners suffer the rocking seat problem?

Was this fixed in the 2003-2004 model years?

As far as I know it was a problem in all C5 years. Lots of threads about it on here.

I fixed mine for under $5....I did both sides

awesome easy fix...sure it takes a couple hours but its a good excuse to clean the carpet under the seats good and you will find enough change to pay for the fix.

You could do a search on rocking seat and find pages of threads or check out the Ultimate DIY sticky in the Tech section for a step by step repair.

I used those same directions and it worked out well.

I can't remember which vendor it is, but they sell the washer set. That comes in handy so you don't have to shaved down the washers from Ace hardware.

I think the rocking seat was a problem on all C5s. Some good instructions for fixing it are already posted, and if you want more, I've got a few Word files that talks about the issue. PM me your e-mail address and I'll forward them to you.

yeah but NFW I would pay that much for some nylon washers....it took me less than 5 min with a piece of sandpaper to get them all set to go.

Wow your grasp of the english language sure improved in this thread.

Anyways OP. I had the Rockin Drivers seat and the link posted in this thread makes the job easy. Avoid the over priced fix cause the Ace washers did the job for chump change. I was using sand paper but found the concrete worked better then used the sand paper to smooth it out. The fix is just another reason I love this place, except for dipsticks like Poopchute.

Thats one problem I've not suffered from. Looks like you got a great fix to a common problem.
