C-5 run flat tires

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
I like the slightly higher tread rating UTQG: 500 AA A on these tires.
Should be good for close to 45K mi.

I have the non runflat version of the PS2 on my car and have for almost four years. I have about 20K on them, and I'm getting to the point that I might consider replacing at least the rears.....
I think Michelin's are one of the best brands to put on our cars. Mine's a semi-garage queen, so I do put some miles on it and I'm not afraid to get it wet in the winter. For me, I think the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP is a good choice.
My 50th Anniversary convertible has about 15,000 miles and until a week ago, had the original Goodyear run-flats. Horrible tires. Bought Michelin PS2 ZP's. It is as if I got a new car. Wish I had done this 2 years ago. Wonderful tires! Very satisfied!
I looked here for several months before deciding to go with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S ZPs. A/S DOES MEAN ALL SEASON although lately see em on Tire Rack as SUMMER ONLY. BS. Theres 3 different tread compounds in them and with the OEM GY runflats with just about 5K on them I almost wrecked the C5 coming back from shopping in a straight and level 6 lane divided highway at 50 MPH. Had just started snowing and the 1/32 inch of snow made the road into an ice skating rink. Thought I was driving a toboggan. My C5 is a vert and I attributed a lot of road noise to the rag top. SURPRISE. The Michelins are MUCH QUIETER don't bumpsteer like the GYs and I thought I was driving a NEW CAR.
Discount Tire Direct was CHEAPER than Tire Rack as they included FREE UPS SHIPPING.
Also I got a rebate from Michelin. Another post about 2 or 3 days ago said Michelin is doing this again but you have to call them at their 800 number and Request A COUPON.
You can pull the warranty and road hazard warranty from the Michelin as it is INCLUDED in the purchase price. Full replacement for a year and a half or two and more than 8/32 as I remember but go there and check it out.
Shop around for mounting and balancing. The DTD and TR installers wanted more for run flats, TPS, phases of the moon, Etc. I got 4 tires ROAD FORCE BALANCED for $80 plus $5 disposal fee ($100) AT THE STEELERSHIP. Sometimes amazing things do happen.
Go for the PS A/S ZPs and you will not be sorry.

Also as noted Discount Tire Direct is CHEAPER. They are also running a 70.00 off rebate if bought before a certain time. DOn't remember the dates, then there is the rebate from Michelin when you call in.
The first set I bought I took to a local Les shwab shop who put them on for me, but had a bad attitude because I did not buy from them.
Even though I tried to buy from them first, but they could not get my sizes.
The second set I took to the shop from tire racks site, and they did a good job.
You can also have the tires shipped to their shop, so you do not have to haul them over there.
