[Z06] engine id?

Not sure if the engine number actually identifies it as an LS1 or LS6. You might have to look for other indications, like casting numbers on the heads, etc.
Maybe someone else with the details can chime in.
You might want to read this thread ... but I have a feeling you have, and that's why you want to verify the LS6 engine is still in that Z06.

Heads should have a 243 cast on them. The engine number is laser etched on the block just above the oil filter towards the bell housing. The engine number should have the same last 4- 6 numbers as the chassis VIN.
