2001 TPS vs required 2000 TPS errors?

2001 TPS vs required 2000 TPS errors?

I just bought a set of CCW for my 2000 vert, the pkg came with 2001 TPS

I am thinking of just leaving the 2001 TPS in the tires, I hate to think about having them dismounted and getting them scratched. I only issue will be an error code each time I start the car..........I dont know if the error code will keep repeating, to the point of being annoying?

Anyone have a answer to that? Will just get a Z06 inflator kit for emergencies...

It will repeat each time on start up.....depending on the year I believe a dealer using a Tech II can deprogram....

its a 2000..............if it repeats only on start-up, that is of with me, just not every 5 minutes....lol

Come to think of it...it might repeat even after start up....Not sure.

You can upgrade to the newer receiver unit so the 2001 sensors will work. You will also have to get new FOBs. Do a search on this forum and you will find more about it.
