So, I'm looking into getting some new wheels eventually, and was wanting to know if c6 wheels will fit on the c5's? I've found a few that I like, but they seem to only come in for the c6's at this time.
Are you saying that I'll need fender flares as well as spacers, or would I be ok with just the spacers, since they have the normal c6 offset/backspace?
I just picked up a 2000 hardtop last week that came with silver painted wheels. I had the stock 08 gumby wheels off of my 08 after converting to a widebody so I stuck them on over the weekend. I didn't need to use any spacers for clearance issues but the rears do sit inboard about a 1/4" further than the stock ones did. I'm trying to decide whether it's worth getting spacers and longer studs just to move them out 1/4".

Put in the size of your stock wheel and the wheel you're considering and it will give you a side-by-side comparison, with illustrations, of the differences. Plus it will describe how the changes will affect the clearances with the suspension, fender, and wheelwell. It should give you a good idea of how the C6 wheels will fit on the C5.

Do you realize that the specific sizes named above mix the C6 ZO6 front tire size with the C6 base rear tire size? Those sizes would not 'require' flares, for the front or rear. However, the front would set a little outboard of wheel arch lip and the rears would set a little inboard of the rear wheel arch lip. Also, you would have to be very careful with tire size selection. If you tried to up your rear rubber width you would have problem with the tire rubbing on the inner side of the wheel well without a spacer. If you stayed with OEM width for base C6 tire size you can normally get by without a spacer.
Caution, the WCC wheel reference does not make specific reference to the offsets unless I missed that piece of information. Rim width and diameters are not enough info to really know the fitment without also knowing the offsets. The above statement were based on stock C6 offsets when applied to a C5.
19torch99, how does that look up close as far as the wheel being spaced away from the calipers? Can you post a pic of that? Where did you get your spacers? thanks

The C6 stock rear wheel offset is 79mm. This doesn't go that high and it won't allow you to enter your own numbers. You have to pick from the drop down list. Am I missing something?
hit ebay up for the spacers. i bought mine for $60 and theyre very well made. 1" bolt on makes them sit our about the EXACT same amount as the stock c5 wheel. and this way u dont have to mess with stupid long studs and slip ons. fronts ARE the same amount out.

Hmmm...no, you're not missing a thing. Although I've played around with that calculator quite a bit, I'd never tried the C6 sizes before and hadn't noticed that the max offset of the calculator was 65. Sorry about that. But, if you were to put in the stock wheels on the left, and the C6 wheels on the right, using the 65mm offset, the results below should still be reasonably valid. Just remember that the wheels will actually be 14mm (slightly more than 1/2 inch) further outboard than indicated in the clearance section. Perfect? No, but still useful.
