There is a by pass you can purchase to alleviate this problem!! The other options are 1. give it a tap on top of the dash 2. cycle the hazards a few times. The problem is that the contacts stick after they haven't been used in awhile. Even if you put a new switch in, sooner or later the same problem will occur.
my blinkers dont work all the time does anybody have any ideas
dont want to pay 100 deductable from my warranty
It's probably one of the switches, either the hazard switch or the turn signal switch that has gone bad. Both are notoriously unreliable but both cost quite a few $ and are not easy to fix. Changing either will involve a strip down.
If you have a warranty paying the deductable will be about the cheapest and certainly the easiest way to fix it IMHO.
I ordered the Flasher Fix from Corvette Enhancements. Hopefully it works.
I had a buddy who had this problem, paid the stealership a great deal of money and still had issues. Ordered the part mentioned above from CORVETTE ENHANCEMENTS and I installed it in about 10 minutes and everything worked great. Still hasn't had any issues for over a 10 months now.
My new ride I will be picking up this week has the same problem and I have already ordered the part from them to fix it.

^^I agree. Had this problem on my car. Lot of work to fix.
I installed corvette-enhancements bi-pass cable 2 years ago. I strongly recommend it. Easy to install, very reliable and once it's installed, your turn signal issues are gone forever!!! Ron
I just did the flasher bypass MOD I found on the Tech side last night. My flashers work 100% of the time now!!! I spent $12 and 15 mins. Search for it. I did the one where you cut 1 wire and splice an electronic $8 flasher in and jump power from another wire, all by your knee under the column. Easy and cheap.
