Default Want do change tranny/diff fluid

I used the Royal Purple Synchromax in my M3, is this fine for the Z? I also used the Royal Purple gear oil as well. Also if I use them do I need to add any other additives for the LSD?

EDIT: Also, what weight gear oil is needed for the diff. and what size is the detent bolt for the Anti-venom mod before I start another "noob" thread?

Just used Amsoil ATF to service my tranny.

Also used Redline Gear Oil(w/ friction modifiers) to service my differential.

You can go wrong with any of the three oils.

However, I will say that brunettes are better!!

I prefer all 3 of them. No additives.
My wife says I better not.

I run the RP Synchromax and MaxGear with no additives and their 5w30 oil. To answer the noob question

Depends on the fluid. Many gear lubes such as the AMSOIL Severe Gear Extreme Pressure Synthetic 75w90 I use come with friction modifier already in it and adding extra to prevent diff chatter is not normally needed for C5s and C5 Z06s. But, many fluids come without any additive and thus adding additive is required.

I've used royal purple max ATF in the trans and redline 75w-90 with the friction modifier (forget whether its the 90ns or regular 90) already included with good results. Recently I just switched to redline D4 ATF in the trans and can't really tell a difference between it and the RP Max ATF.
