The wheel nuts on my 2004 Z06 are taking a beating with all the switching i'm doing between street tires and racing slicks, changing brake pads, bleeding the brakes, etc. Does anyone have a good source for replacement lug nuts that are reasonably priced, or an alternative lug nut at a reasonable cost? Even with a discount it looks like a set of 20 OEM wheel nuts will cost over $140.
I’ve always used McGuards. They’ve worked fine for street use, autox, and track duty. Only thing I’ve noticed on my last car after 5 years of use the key started to deform.
I've got a set on my truck and the 'vette, put on and off with an impact gun for a year now and no visible wear to any of the nuts.
AH, yes, I forgot about these. A speed shop near me sells them, discounted, so I'm heading over there to pick up a set and get rid of the OEM nuts. Between the impact wrench and torquing the wheels, the covers on the OEM nuts are starting to fall off. I've used Gorilla before, and they are very tough, hold up well.
