Default How Long Between Vettes?

Sold my C5 a few months ago and figured I'd get another one in about a year. Nassau Blue Z06, black wheels, moderate mods. I would take my time looking for the right car and not be in a hurry. But I think someone is telling me something. Everywhere I look I see beautiful C5's. Came out of a job site building yesterday and right in front of the door was a 2000 black coupe with chrome thin spokes. Plate said, "MY 2K VET". Then driving home last night was following another black coupe. This morning was behind a torch red C5. They're friggin' everywhere! I've had many Vettes over the years since 1985 or so. I don't know how much longer I can hold out!

What's the longest you've been with a Vette?

Well, I was 28 when I got my first one, but after having that one for about 4 yrs, I went a bit over 1 year without one. Since then, I have gone 30 years of continuous Vette ownership.

Sold the 85 the same day I bought the c5.
Had a guy interested if I wanted to sell.I then found the c5 I wanted, but before the purchase,I called to see if he was still into it.

Dropped it off on the way home from the purchase!

Bought my 82 C3 in 92, traded it in on my 87 C4 in 97, traded the C4 in 2004 in on a 300M Special, bought my 99 C5 FRC in late 2007. I was without a vette from 2004 - 2007. I was in heaven when I bought the C5.

When I got rid of my '91 I pulled the C5 in the garage that very night -

As soon as the fella left I went to the Credit Union and the seller met me there with the Pink in hand and Smog - drove home and have been modding it since -

Why wait when the market is as good as it is right now Go ma and get one now Just get the one you want

Thanks,Matt

bought my first vette a '66 coupe in 1979, sold it in 1982 when we started a family and finally purchased a 1999 frc in the summer of 2007. It's great to be back!

I bought my first in April of 2004 and sold it in August of 2007 and was absolutely miserable until I picked up my 2001 a few days ago!

I really cannot see ever not having a VETTE in my family.

Good luck finding that car you mentioned.

Longest I've been without was 27 years. That's when I bought my first and only Vette.

Sold my 69, 427 tri-power to purchase the land the house sits on. As the new owner lite the tires up leaving the parking lot my wife began crying. With a hug I promised that we would buy another when fiscally reasonable. 20-years later I made good on the promise. (99 coupe)
