There was a product called "Laptrax" that disables it every time you start the car. They went out of business a couple years back with the San Diego fires, but you can find them used occasionally. I have one in my car and love it.

True, but you have to hold it if you want Competition mode. And on the pre-01 cars, the car has to be stationary to get to competition mode.
Neither is that difficult, but it's really nice that the car does that for me now.
