Optima Red Top for $35
I work a part time job at an auto parts store and they have 3 Optima Red Top batteries that are a year or less old, never sold ,new on the shelf. $165 new and I can buy them for $35 a piece. Good deal or not? I would keep one and sell the other two. No warranty but the one I have in the vett now is at least 5 years old now.

AutoZone??? Sounds exactly like how I got my third (second spare) Red Top.

Just make sure you keep it topped off with a battery tender if you plan to leave the car idle for any length of time

For $35 each I think it would be worth buying them.
Both of my cars have fairly new batteries or I'd go for one.

Buy all of them, great battery particularly for our Vettes but remember to leave a trickle charger on the Red Tops in the winter for maintenance since they are not a deep cycle battery like the Yellow Tops.

For that price YES!!!!!! for $160 NO!!!!!
They are a gamble, but the odds of getting 3 bad ones are rare. Optima quality has gone down the tubes in years past. Make sure you can take them back when they fail or at least make sure they come with a warranty.

I thought this was a pretty good deal. Like I said they are a year or less old and brand new. I am going to buy all three, keep one and I have a couple of local corvette buddies that want the other two.
