what will a stock 03 C5 Coupe do for max speed approx?

I've heard anywhere from 172 to 180+ either way, very fast.

I think that the A4 is faster than the 6 speed too....

I was just curious after I saw 140 today and it was still building fast.

Is the power / speed difference in the Z06s quite abit more than the standard coupes?

Zo6 cars are slower (top end) than coupes due to more aggressive transmission gearing (except 4th which is a direct 1:1 ratio).... but Zo6's are better during acceleration as a result of the shorter gearing...
I've had my Z at redline in 5th to 177 mph (while drunk in Mexico risking my own life
) although it's common knowledge they top out at 171 mph... my speedometer must have been off.

It's nice to know the top speed but no way am I going to go there... Maybe Bonneville if I had the opportunity but not on the street.

A4's w/ the 2.73 rear gear have the highest top speed 0f any C5 @ 182mph in 3rd gear. At one point in time this info was on GM's website.

Reminds me of what my FIL would say while riding his motorized wheelchair and people at the nursing home would ask him "how fast does that thing go?" He'd answer "you don't want to know!"
