Default CA Corvette Customs Summer Status

Greetings to All,

Many of you probably noticed we’ve dropped out of sight for a while. The purpose of this thread is to let everybody know where we’ve been and notify the community of our schedule for the summer. First, as a general comment, we want to thank the C5 forum community for the tremendous interest and response we’ve received for our bezels. It is our commitment to continue to produce bezels of the highest quality in both appearance and function… we wouldn’t have it any other way. In fact, we’re proud to note that in all of our sales, no one has ever taken us up on our money back satisfaction guarantee on our bezels

In mid June, Ray (Chief bezel designer and fabricator), who serves in the United States Navy, was deployed to the Middle East . Matt (Bezel sales, marketing, bezel prep) was running the ship (mostly customer communications) at this time but for July is taking a much needed month long vacation. Ray has very recently returned home from the Middle East but has been promoted to Chief Petty Officer. The transition to Chief will require a lot of Ray’s time which would otherwise be spent on the bezels.

In consideration to the above, we anticipate that we won’t be able to deliver bezels until mid October. You can still place an order if you like and doing so will put you in the front of the line when production resumes. Further, any correspondence with us will be slow for July but our responsiveness will resume by the second week of August (when Matt returns). We are currently building our website which we hope will be completed before the end of the summer. This will facilitate your communication and ordering with us.

In the meanwhile, we continue to receive many requests on our current pricing so we will offer it here:

Standard Textured double din bezel (black, 50th Commemorative, oak): $375

Custom Painted double din bezel: $475

Primer only (not painted) double din bezel: $300

Options:
Lighter socket: add $24
Carbon Fiber coating: add $185
Half Leather Wrap: add $195

Note: There is a $100 refundable core charge. With regret, core charge increased to reflect GM’s price increase for core bezel.

In closing, we thank all of you out there for your confidence in our products and desire to do business with us. When production resumes, we will post another thread. Further, we will most definitely alert the community when our e-commerce website if up and running.

Ray and Matt

Good to hear you guys are still around and taking care of yourselves as well!

Had a question, what's the "half leather wrap?"

The half leather wrap is where the lower portion of the bezel is wrapped with leather. It looks incredible. Ray has it on his Z... will try to post a picture for you soon since as they say "a picture is worth a thousand words"

Sounds great. I look forward to the pic. That alone may be worth sending in my Bezel.

Here are the pictures as promised. This is Ray's bezel... it's custom painted to match his Electron Blue Z with half leather wrapping. Wrapping is at base of bezel and continues up the sides. For even greater bling, you can get your center console wrapped also.

Looking good Ray!

Anyone on the fence about this, don't wait. Ray does A+ work. When I get my next ride, he's gonna have some work cut out for him! :

Hey, that leather wrap looks better than I expected. How does it look where the key goes? Is it leather there too or does it cut off. (It wouldn't change my opinion, but I'm just curious)
