Default Plug & Play Hid Kit

I think I'll buy one of those Plug N Play hid kits for my 02.Seems like some are in the $200 range.

Anyone have any experience with these?

Thanks

I just bought and installed one from Jonathon W on these forums. I got the slim line digital ballasts and resistor for about $125 shipped. Took less then an hour to install and work great. After seeing mine my dad has decided to install them on his C5. I love these things and I can actually see at night. Highly reccomended. Pm me if you need any tips or help.

What does the beam pattern look like after swapping over? Typically when you change the light source and not the optics this results in nothing but blinding glare to other drivers. Is there anything close to a cutoff using the stock headlamp assembly with these kits or do they look like every civic with a $100 eBay HID kit?

I don't really understand what you are asking but the lighting looks very similar to my C6 I just sold. And I haven't had any problems with blinding drivers and I checked for that. And I have not had one person flash me either.

When I had my 08 tundra with just the regular headlights I would get flashed all the time even though I had my low beams on and they were non HID

Larger vehicles usually get flashed by other cars because they appear brighter, the lights are higher off the ground and do appear brighter to cars when aimed to a ~2.5 inch drop at 25 feet.

As I look in to A C5Z I am learning that the lights leave much to be desired. In most vehicles simply swapping for "rebased" HID bulbs results in bad glare due to the headlamp optics not being designed for HID bulbs. Light reading here: http://www.danielsternlighting.com/t...nversions.html

I searched around for some pictures of HID bulbs installed in to C5's and found this pic
This looks better than most other vehicles but still seems to have some glare. Can't have your cake and eat it too I guess. Too bad C5 HID specific headlamps are so costly...glad to hear you are not blinding anyone. Take a look at the next civic or integra with swapped HID's if you want to see that horrid glare I am talking about
