Default 18/19 vs 19/20 Setup

Hey everyone, I'm debating between a 18/19 setup and a 19/20 setup for wheels (Preferably CCWs). I haven't seen many pictures to compare the two side by side. I was wondering if any of you with these setups have any pics you could post up? Thanks for your help.

I would go 19/20 the only reason being nitto makes a drag radial 305 30 20 or something like that for our cars. its really hard to find sticky tires in 19's.

I went 18 x 19, 1st because it will ride smoother, 2nd it gives the rims more protection from hard (pot hole) hits and will give the rear tires a little more room to flex dring hard take offs. (have you ever seen a dragster tire flex from the line while it biting the track, you need some rubber to keep from spinning the tires).
There are some companies that have 19 wheels, like NT05's.
I'm running NT05' with CCW 18 x 10 1/2 fronts, 19 x 13 rear. they're holding better than my old PS2's.

I'm not planning on drag racing. I just want to compare the looks of an 18/19 vs 19/20 setup. Thanks though.

Based on appearance alone, the 18/19 setup wins. You can pull off a 19/20 on a C6 Z06, but our wheel openings are not as big.

Try going over rail tracks, large holes or driving down a messed up highway with a 250lbs passenger and the trunk full of luggage on 19 x 20's. You may need new rims when you get back.

I don't know much about suspension upgrades, but would an upgrade help with that kind of thing?

I have 18's and 19's and would prefer to have 19/19. The side wall of the fronts look a little too tall compared to the rears.

I have had everything from 18in ccw classics all the way around to 18/19 ccw sp500 setup to a 19/20in setup in Z06 replicas. Those were all on my old FRC. I just picked up a C5Z and went with iforged wheels in 19s all the way around. This is the best looking setup on a C5. And they perform great too

K, So your question about wheels is based on LOOKS. To me what looks best is the 19/20. Heres some eyecandy for ya;

19/20 Iforged Classics w/ brushed center.

I have CCW SP20As in 19x10 front and 19x11 rear. They have Michelin PS2 on them. They look just fine. It depends on what tires you mount front and rear. There is an issue with limited tire choice in 19 and 20 though. The wheels came on the car. Given a choice I would take 18s instead.

Now Nitto and General Tire have some options to make 19's easier to work with.

I'll be going with a 19/20 combo here soon, I have 18/19 combo right now and its just too small for my taste, plus it will help raise my car up without gaining more wheel gap.
