Default Kooks or LG headers?

I am able to get them both for the great price and the same price. I had the LG streets on my old FRC and I loved them. The only difference from the LG pros to the streets is the streets come with the 2 1/2in stamped x pipe. From what I have seen the LG's make better low end torque and mid range. So if you had the choice between LG pros/streets or Kooks heaers which would you go with if cost wasnt an issue? I am getting 1 3/4 and they are going on an 02 Z06. I will also eventually be going with heads and MS3 cam and fast 92 but not for a few months. I just want to enjoy the car especially since I hav already dropped over $7k into it and I have owned it for less then 3 weeks lol

Kooks all the way. If you are thinking of going more cubes or a blower later, you may want to go ahead and get some 1 7/8 now.

May want to consider LG Super Pro series, also.

Either choice is good, except the streets with that big of a cam. The LG's are easier to install if your doing the install yourself, Ive had both.

I'm guessing ARH isn't even on the table, given the pricing option?

I haven't had both but I love my LG LTs (pro). Plus I haven't seen anyone named Kook racing their Corvette in the Grand Am series.

Support the guys who race the car I always say!

That is a good point.

I'm not going to get into power; I don't own a dyno(like 99.9% of the cf members)

From an install pov, ARH all the way, ECS, VD's and Andy/A&A use them amongst many other LSx shops

Ford corporate also chose them for the new FR500, that says something imho

I went with the Pros- no issues and made great power with just bolt ons. Never had Kooks though.

I just got my LG headers. They make the most low end torque and are the nicest I have seen and I had them before. As far as going with 1 7/8 ARG headers why would I want to go 1 7/8 and lose power? That is way to big of a header for a 346ci engine....even with a supercharger.

BTW I am working with someone now and we have produced our own longtube header system that makes more power then Kooks and ARH, is made of better material and lighter material and is also priced better. Right now we have a bunch of the C6 system in stock and the C5 system is coming next very very soon. We also have a catback system in production right now for both C5s and C6s.
