Ok so Im trying to finish up my supercharger install. I keep running into little things to slow me down. My question is, can I install the MAF before boost? ie can I install it right after the air filter right before the supercharger? The instructions show it install right before the throttle body, but I cant do that on mine. The reason is, I bought my kit used and its a bit of a custom kit. The guy that had it before me had a speed density setup so he didnt have a MAF, so the couplers and piping I have wont fit on the MAF. Ive been everywhere trying to find some couplers and reducers that would work with no luck. So once again, can I have my mass air meter before the supercharger compresses the air and it work fine?
I have the stock MAF. I wouldnt think it matter because if I had a Maggie or a KB set up, the MAF would have to be before the supercharger. I remember on my mustang, I had a KB so the maf was before boost. Anybody know for sure?
On a Kenne Bell the blow off valve just recirculates the air through the supercharger. On a centrifical the blowoff vents to the atmospere. I think this is the main reason most guys blow through the maf. It's harder to tune if your maf measures air that your blowoff vents out and never gets to your motor.

construction wise, it doesn't matter weather you have the MAF before or after the air is compressed. as stated above it's called draw-through vs blow-through. it will be addressed when the car is tuned. same with the above statement about the recirculation valve. some blowers (for example, KB, Eaton, Vortech) recirculate back into the intake and some (Procharger likes to do this) vents to atmosphere. thats really the difference between a bypass valve and a blow-off valve. a good tuner can make either work.
in my experience, in the past blow-through tuning has been a little more "particular" when tuning. i.e. rotating the MAF can actually change the AF ratio without my changing the MAF transfer function. but, modern electronics seem to be better in that regard now.

Thanks that helps alot. So since it seems like it will work, Ill leave the MAF before the supercharger and let the tuner handle it.
