I think its awesome. I work hard honest job to pay for my car, so why should someone who doesnt have one? I am glad it is getting some use for a great cause. Besides its great publicity for the corvette. Support the cause.
I was going to post the bloomfield hills one. Dammit. He's at the woodward dream cruise all the time. I think they have a c6 now too. About 4 years ago there were cops in a z28 and we were sitting on the curb we were joking around with them and I said, "Come on, do a burnout, you can't pull yourself over!" Well, they did a brake torque for about 1/2 a second but it got a lot of cheers and laughs.
This is exactly my feelings too. It's not entrapment, but it's pretty much like a big shiny red button that says "Don't push" with a hidden consequence behind it.
Im in North TX...They used to have a C4 Z-R1 police car in a neighboring county. It was a marked car though.....also a drug seizure. If I had to get pulled over, I would rather it be by a cop in a vette!
I don't agree with unmarked police cars at all. If it's really about safety, you should be out in the open about who you are.
Aye: Plus any noob can put LEDs police lights in their car
Granted, mine are for business/show, but I can't expect everyone with such lights to be as responsible on the road...especially if they're going to put so much time and effort into a Light setup.
I don't think its about money, I think its more about be flexible. Folks who break the law have the ability not to follow any rules thus speeding and racing in the streets. Police have to follow General Orders and procedures prior, during and upon capturing law breakers. This give the Police the flexibility to blend in to the rule breakers. What a thought, if no speeding or racing in the streets, no need to be creative.... what a thought. Police are always reacting, this levels the playing field.... Keep in under the radar and life is good... Enjoy...

The link below will show you why I am against "unmarked" stops. Grant it, this guy is probably ALL criminal, but this is what can go wrong when a woman stops because of one of these creeps. I have three adult daughters, two married, with two daughters (each) themselves, and a wife, and I've told them all, I will sell everything I own to get them out of trouble, but never, ever, stop for an unmarked patrol car, drive to the nearest police/fire station.
This is my personal opinion on this, and I do respect others opinions.
