Default American Racing Headers???

I have a 01 ZO6 with B&B Bullets, what size AR Headers and X-Pipe will fit my Z?

These:
ARH Long Tube Headers w/ Emission Fittings & X-Pipe w/ Catalytic Converters, T304 Stainless Steel, 1-3/4" x 3" x 2-1/2" (2001-2004 Corvette & Z06)
[C5L34WC]

OR

These:
ARH Long Tube Headers w/ Emission Fittings & X-Pipe w/ Catalytic Converters, T304 Stainless Steel, 1-7/8" x 3" x 3" (2001-2004 Corvette & Z06)
[C5L78WC]

Thanks

Chris

I would not go with 1 7/8". They are too big for our size motors. They arent needed unless you have 400ci+. Even guys with LS2s and blowers making 650rwhp didnt pick up any torque and only made like 4hp up top. Stick with the 1 3/4

Ok cool,

What do you think of the AR setup VS LG Motorsports setup?

Thanks

Both the AR and LG Pro are quality Americn built headers and the question of which is best, has no answer. The AR with slightly shorter tubes produces slightly more HP at top end, while the longer LG produces slightly more torque at the mid-range level. Would your butt-o-meter be able to tell the difference on your stock Vette..... Probably not! Both are excllent products...take your pick......

My 01 Z is Supercharged, I have shorty headers now with B&B Bullets. My plan is to install LT Headers with a high flow cat X pipe, then have her retuned

I'll buy your shorty headers from you if they are in good shape.

Let me know,
Tony

I have a blower and 1 3/4 ARH and the car performs just fine.

Ok here is my situation, had TPIS Headers and made 742 rwhp and AR 1 7/8 3" x 2 1/2" to catback made 749 rwhp. I could not feel the difference, though with shorties you will either way you go. I know have a true 3" Stainless Works exhaust and more power, however I also went to a smaller blower pulley. If you plan on keeping your Vette get the larger headers, I am glad I did, the sound is also deeper and sounds better in my book

On your car with the blower I would put the 1-7/8 x 3" if you already had the 1-3/4 I would say stay with them the gains are'nt worth the expense. But if your buying new get the larger ones.

with Tom....There's one more thing to consider. In all my research I found that the ARH was the easiest to install. I bought the 1 3/4 inch long tube w/hi flow cats and x pipe. Did not have to loosen motor mounts, did not have to remove starter, etc. The complete removal of old exhaust and install of the ARH was a little over three hours labor. Even my mechanic was amazed at how easy they went on.

But, the choice is yours.
