Welcome! Let the mods begin. I've had my c5 for 2 months. I've already spent $3500 on rims, tires and exhaust, painted some of the interior, put in new dvd radio, added a homelink to the visor, added a parrot bluetooth with microphone mounted in the visor. Oh and 7 coats of Zaino!
Brandon, you did good getting it in stock form. That means nobody messed with it prior, you have the option of doing what you want and not fixing some backyard mechanic's possible nightmare. I too purchased a 99 bone stock, added C6 Z06 rims & tires, Flowmaster CatBack exhaust, new sway bushings, dual K&N intake kit, fixed the rocking seats, new floor mats and rear cargo cover. Next is to have the seats re-done in new black leather and purchase a new Blue Targa Top. Otherwise, she rides nice and sounds great. PS also at least 8 coats of wax, looks like a force field around it.... Enjoy, these are the fun times.... Jesse
Also another "stock ain't bad" vote!!Mine was stock except for the filter,,added Corsa mufflers and turned a 13.08/110.23. Not too many stockers that will do that and crack 30 mpg on the highway!!Welcome to the fold!!Enjoy!!:thumbs :
Welcome ! Stock is a good thing, the possibilities for mods are endless,(but the money may not be).
Think it over, and individualize it to exactly what you want(or leave it stock-even a stock Vette is better than any other car I can think of)
This is THE forum for advice and ideas, hang out,get to know the place...
And most of all - Enjoy that Vette !
