Alarm Question
Is it normal that the alarm cannot be disabled from the key fob. I have to turn the inition on to turn my alarm off. whats the deal? Am I doing something wrong, is my fob not working properly or is it something more serious?

sounds like the battery might be going in the fob. if you have the second fob, give it a try and see if you get the same results. that would be the first thing to try to isolate the problem. you might also want to try to "massage" the rubber boot between the body and the door that carries the wires to the door. there have been several posts regarding that being a bit of a problem also. check this out: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...w-problem.html

If everything is working correctly the alarm is disabled when you hit unlock on the fob.
