Hell YES!!!!! I drive it all the time,,,and go into withdrawal if I go a day or two with out it!!! Now If I could get all of the OTHER old farts OUT OF MY WAY when I'm driving it!!! Hell it helps keep you thinking YOUNG!!!
When I romp on it, it always makes me smile, but what I think does it for me the best is walking out to my ride at the end of the day at work. Seeing a Corvette in a parking lot full of everyday cars and knowing that it's mine always brings a grin to my face.
Very often ! My garage is detached and sometimes I start the Corvette and then forget something I left in the house and when I come back out on the porch, all I can hear is that rumble from the four pipes at the back of the Vette bubbling away. The sound just always fills me with pride !
Unlike the average CFOT baller I only have two cars. A C3 coupe and a C5 vert. The C5 is my daily driver. No matter how bad a day I have at work, by the time I pull into the garage at my house I'll be smiling from ear to ear. As if just driving the car wasn't good enough, the effect it has on other people just makes it that much better. I can't imagine how bad it must suck to go through life and never own a Corvette...
Dave, Glad to have you back in a better frame of mind. For me cars have always been something special in my life, and the Vette is extra special not just because of the car, but also because of the way that Vette's bring people together.
Simply through the shared experiences with our Vette's, there is a sense of community that few if any other cars can rival.
Here's to many more miles of smiles.

Listening to the V8 purr does have a way of making troubles go away. Now, to make it even better, get behind the wheel and take it out for a drive yourself.
Absolutely! It's a great mood buster/improver! My wife even noticed that when I get stressed out over anything she suggests I "Go take a drive in your Vette".
I would get depressed if I didn't drive my car for two weeks too! Drive that baby every day like you stole it! That's what the police office told me when I got pulled over after a spirited sprint from a red light! He jsut gave me a warning...
Lately Ive been feeling a bit down [gettin old] until about an hour ago. We, wife & I, decided to bar-bque so she's off to the store to get some ribs, beer, etc. She fired up the Vette which we havn't driven for a couple of weeks because of a lot of rain. It's a "99" coupe, red, chrome wheels, borlas, gears etc.. I watched it go down the street and listened to the sound and it perked me right up! I've been thinking about selling it lately but now it's "hell no" to that!! Does your Vette ever put you in a better mood? I think these cars are better than anything to brighten your mood!
not so old Dave
My drug of choice is adrenaline. I consider this a big fat source of it lol. I rode motorcycles for 10 years and after witnessing several horror stories and going down pretty hard I needed a replacement fix. I found it in my C5
Haven't had the opportunity to drive the Vette much this summer. Yesterday, the wife and I went out to eat. We decided on a restaurant that was 50 miles away, 30 of which was 4 lanes.
My Vette always makes my mood ring glow. Love to drive it. It's beautiful to look at. Keeps the brain active planning mods.Great excuse to go to shows (Carlisle, OC Boardwalk cruise)
